Look at the magnificent horse with its free spirit...
God's creation of beauty as she runs freely across the plain;
Pausing momentarily to remember where she came from,
Running, kicking out at the air as the wind blows through her mane.
It's good to have a free spirit as we run the race of life,
Pausing to remember where we come from, why we are here;
Loving life, feeling the wind blow through our hair,
Knowing the comfort of a Savior who cares and is near.

These are some handbuilt pots that I fired with sawdust.
This technique is called Terra Sigillatta which was used by the ancient Romans.
You apply a slip with a burnishing technique before firing.
Here is my collage of my cello. You probably cannot see all the detail and texture.
It is done in velvets, suede, foil paper, wallpaper, handmade paper and embroidery floss.
Just to mention a few.
The colors are richer tones than show up here but you can get the idea.
It is 12" x 12" without the matt and frame.
Oil of three horses for my friend Fay who sold me the most wonderful horse, Shadow!

"Turning Point"
This is a pastel drawing I worked on for LifeLight Festival art show 2003.
www.lifelightfest.com
The theme for the 2003 art show was "His healing touch".
It was about how Jesus can heal you.
So this is a drawing of a woman who suffers from depression and tried to kill herself,
but now she is at a turning point in her life.
Through the healing power of Jesus, she has had a change of heart.
She was an empty shell, but is now filled with new life.
I titled it "Turning Point". It is 18"x25".
Turning point - noun
: a point at which a significant change occurs. Change of heart.
Here is my drawing for the 2004 Common Ground show at LifeLight Festival.
That years theme was Beloved Enemy. The title of this piece is "Forgive Them"
Luke 23:34 “Then Jesus said,
‘Father, forgive them, for they do
not know what they do.’”
Jesus loved and forgave his enemies
more than any of us are capable of
even imagining.
He is the best
example of how we should forgive
our enemies.
How must our Heavenly Father felt as he looked
down on His Son?
This was drawn
from God’s perspective.
Prints are available

"Beautiful! I love that you put personality in them, and sort of a secretiveness, like they have secret thoughts.
Like on this one you can only see part of his face, and it's like he has a part of himself he isn't
ready to reveal to you just yet,
but he is thinking maybe he will trust you." - Karen Lipphardt
